Since 1994, Mike has worked with ultra-high-net-worth families and their associated interests. He provides guidance to family groups and professional trustees on a variety of sophisticated investment planning issues, including multigenerational wealth transfer and philanthropy.
Mike joined Stifel in 2015 as a part of the acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, where he worked for five years. In addition to working with families at Barclays, Mike was one of two client-facing members of the Barclays Wealth Americas Investment Committee, setting investment policy for the firm in the Americas. Prior to Barclays, he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer in the Northeast for Wilmington Trust, where he directed investment policy for the region. Mike began his career in fixed income trading and equity research at Scudder, Stevens & Clark, where he provided investment banking services to the largest private company in the country.
Mike earned a B.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He is a member of Mensa, the CFA Institute, the CFA Society Boston, and the Society in Dedham for Apprehending Horse Thieves. Mike lives in Westwood, Massachusetts, with his wife, Stacie, and their two children.
Jim’s approach to wealth management focuses on the investment planning process for affluent clients, including entrepreneurs, professional athletes, business owners, corporate executives, and their families. He works closely with clients on a broad range of investment matters, including retirement planning strategies, estate planning issues, multigenerational wealth transfer, concentrated stock positions, and philanthropy.
Jim joined Stifel in 2015 as a part of the acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, where he worked for five years. Prior to Barclays, he was a Principal at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, where he helped establish the Boston office in 2004 and was a member of the Senior Investment Advisor Group. Prior to Bernstein, he worked for several venture-funded technology companies, including Continuus Software, which had a successful initial public offering (IPO) and is now a part of IBM.
Jim earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He resides in Winchester, Massachusetts, with his wife, Emma, and their four children.
Since 1998, Ria has worked closely with clients and their trusted professionals to develop customized investment plans and strategies that help address their specific objectives and risk tolerances. As a Vice President/Investments, she oversees and helps implement client-specific strategies with a focus on tax efficiency, socially responsible investing, alternative investments, and risk management strategies.
Ria joined Stifel in 2015 with the acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, where she worked for five years. At Barclays, she focused on providing investment guidance and management to high-net-worth individuals and their families as well as managed the group's institutional client relationships. Prior to Barclays, she was a Portfolio Manager at Wilmington Trust and Bingham Legg Advisers. She began her investment career at Brown Brothers Harriman and later at Wellington Management in the Equity Research group.
Ria graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Society Boston and the CFA Institute. Ria lives in Boston with her husband, Dan, and their son.
George leads the group’s family-focused service structure and helps clients with a variety of critical initiatives, including trust management matters, principal and income accounting, and bill-paying services. Drawing upon his 20-plus years of experience in the financial industry, George works closely with clients and their trusted tax and legal professionals in an effort to simplify their financial lives.
George joined Stifel in 2015 as a part of the acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas. Prior to Barclays, George was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers, where he managed the Private Wealth and Institutional Operations Departments for the Boston Office.
As a member of The Reiser Egan Hart Wealth Advisory Group, Kyle focuses on providing an outstanding client experience. In addition to maintaining and growing client relationships, he assists with implementing investment strategies for the group’s high-net-worth clients. Other responsibilities include coordinating the information needed to evaluate investment managers and educating millennial clients on how the team can serve their unique needs.
Kyle joined Stifel in 2022 after graduating in 3.5 years from the Girard School at Merrimack College, where he focused on Corporate Finance, Investments, and Accounting. Prior to joining Stifel, Kyle worked as an intern for Cox Capital Management. At Cox, he worked in a collaborative environment to help clients with their investment plan service needs and provided internal investment analysis of equities, bonds, and preferred stocks.
Kyle resides in Boston after relocating from his home town of Burlington, Connecticut.
